2008!
On Christmas morning, I opened a gift from Ryan and it was a lovely white dress I had been eyeing at Macy’s. And it fit perfectly. So romantic, huh? Opening a box to find a dress that fits like a glove is something that only happens in movies. Like in “Pretty Woman.” And like in the Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones movie, “Entrapment” which I have seen at least 16 times due to some unfortunate timing between my down time and HBO, but I digress …
While I thoroughly appreciated the romantic gesture, I told Ryan, “I have no where to wear a fancy white dress.” But I was wrong!
Ryan and I have celebrated three consecutive New Year’s Eves in Austin with Eric and Tara. This year they classed it up with a fancy party in their home (we call their home ”Taric’s Terris” named for the deck they built themselves). Ryan told me, “This dress is for Tara and Eric’s party.” I love a man with a plan!
Ryan and I started our evening with a nice dinner at Vin Bistro, followed by an evening of champagne and delicious snacks at the party.
The classy evening concluded with an art show – a viewing of the Oil-Bama of course.
Happy New Year, dear blog reader! It’s 2008 and I am excited. Last night, Ryan, Tara, Eric and I decided – 2008 is going to be fantastic! We can feel it!
God bless you and yours in the coming year!
