Hosanna! Hosanna! It’s Palm Sunday!

Holy Week begins today and the observance of the passion story tradition is in full effect. Today, we celebrated the “most famous parade of all time” – Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem!

Since the March Madness brackets were announced on the first day of Holy Week this year, it is only fitting that my alma mater men’s basketball team earned their first NCAA Tournament berth in twenty years on this very day!  When you announce the NCAA teams on Palm Sunday, a Christian school or two are bound to make the cut.  It’s a Christian University Hosanna miracle! 

No, in all seriousness … Ryan and I were fans of Scott Drew and Aaron Bruce when there was no hope for a season win, much less an invitation to the tourney.  While I am sure we won’t advance, I am sure that I am proud of the mighty Bears!
