This week, I return to public relations. After a year-long stint in marketing, I am back to a discipline that I find familiar, which is funny because PR is a very unpredictable discipline.
My move is bittersweet though. My quick taste for working with Asia-Pacific regions introduced me to great people and reintroduced me to, well … me. You learn a lot about yourself when you are in new surroundings. I’ll miss my new friends for sure, but am thankful for all the ways to communicate across the globe: instant message, webcam, skype, etc. I have picked up some crazy instant message emoticons from these kids!
Hollis is ready for me to make the move – he ate my international phone card last week. Thanks for forcing the transition, buddy.
While I am ready to have evenings with Husbanks again (thanks for the patience all the times we were eating dinner whilst I was on the computer), here are some of the friends I’ll miss talking to everyday!
Hil and Mark in Sydney

Hil, Chelsia, Earth, and Ken at dinner (chili crab!) in Singapore

Claudine, Hil, and Am on a cable car in Singapore

Hil at Bondi Beach (yes, we became friends – it’s so pretty!)

Lunch with Nandini, Anish, and Anita in the Bangalore Office

Too funny that your dog ate your phone card! He’s ready for you to stop travelling
Good luck with the new move!

So you’re back in PR – that’s great! I’m sure they missed you just like I do now! I am in great need of some friendly banter
